So, I'm going to Lady GaGa's concert this Thursday in New York. Here is my D.I.Y. Shoulder Pads I made from scratch to wear to the concert...

a sketch of my vision, spikes, studs, and feather...


cutting out the foam base for the shoulder pads


insert the boning inside to help curve the shape


spraying adhesive to stick both layers together


my fingers swollen from holding scissor too long :(


cutting out fabric cover (dull silk)


serging all the edges so it won't fray


marking sections to insert the spikes


sewing the end parts together for the cover


hot gluing the studs. I'M STUNNIN' WITH MY LOVE GLUE GUNNIN'

I wonder if the feather is a bit much?! BUT IT'S GAGA.
