LOCATIONSHIP

An assignment from Typography class. We had to find or come up with a phrase/word that's in right now, or will be. Then use whatever medium to illustrate that word with type. The assignment is supposedly based off The New York Times magazine where they have a page spread with an illustration of a new phrase or word.

I remember hearing this word somewhere, so I chose to use it: LOCATIONSHIP ...and it's also relatable because I can relate to my own personal experiences.

PROCESS:

my little box of travel remnants, plane tickets, bus cards, maps, etc...

tearing out maps of my 3 beloved places... CA, NY, Viet Nam

the first interpretation could be the love you have for a place... like how people would say, I Love Paris, or I love New York. You can be in love or have a relationship with the place itself.

the second interpretation is when we travel to a different place, we tend to have a fling or a love encounter. so it's a mini relationship, sort of.
