I started school again 2 weeks ago. This is my 3rd week now, time flies huh?! 14 weeks left! OH YES!! all my classes I'm taking this semester is wonderful so far, it's actually all relevant to my major. I also love my Contemporary Art History class very much! We discuss a lot of artists during the Surrealism and Modernism period, and Avant-garde related things, which I love! I'm very interested in the idea of existentialism.
We are here for ourselves, our decisions make our characters!! I love the idea that... trying to make sense of the world is a struggle, and struggle and battle is important for an artist. Creativity and alienation are tied together, it goes hand in hand... which is why I think it's okay to feel out of place, who wants to fit in the mold anyway?! I feel comfortable being an outsider because I am my own entity, I don't need to be justified by anyone.
I think artists are not socially fit to live normal lives. We create a life that fits to our point of views and what we think is valuable. I recently had a great talk with my friend Lina about life, love and things of that nature. It was comforting to be able to speak my mind and have someone there to listen and give feedbacks! thank you boo!
Anyway, on the topic of self discovery, I am also doing a project in design to brand myself... hahaha! I absolutely love anything that has to do with myself, not that I'm narcissistic, I just see it as an opportunity to be in tune with myself, and realize who I am, what I want, to make life easier for me, I gotta love myself first before I can love anyone else.
