BEHIND THE SCENES

2nd location, guess where we were! HINT: somewhere uptown New York! :P

we met up with Ebony, walking back downtown for our 3rd location: CHINATOWN!

we ate Pho; me and Ebony listening to Vanessa talk about the power of social networking!

OK! back to work after eating, finishing up the last set, on the ground finding my focus!

helping Vanessa cross the streets in her fab leopard heels!

since Vanessa is such a strong woman, she NEVER cries... which made me want to do crying shots even more; to show a different side of Ms. Vanessa Hong! LOL... so since she can't cry, we had to use water! BAM!

So let me start by saying that it was so wonderful to have finally met Vanessa (The Haute Pursuit). Not only she is amazing, badass, strong, and inspiring young woman, but she knows what she's doing and how to really interact with people in a persuasive manner! SMART & BEAUTIFUL! You just have to really get to know and meet her personally. I'm just very lucky to be in her presence hearing her point of views, which we both see eye to eye with... she just makes me wanna stay focused and get my shit together, you know?! I love seeing strong women, who doesn't just follow their men around. Even when I asked if she can cry for me so I can take a photo, she replied, "I Never Cry." How powerful is that statement! OK, Vanessa, you can do bad all by yourself, boo! MISS YOU SO MUCH!

In general, from my experiences it's very hard to find people that you can just connect with, like a real good genuine human connection. It's even harder online as well. BUT with that said, I've met some of the best people online, a lot of my good friends now are from online. Though, I've met some crazy monsters online, but I won't get into that. LOL! Anyhow, this meeting, and this collaboration between me and Vanessa, as turned into some beautiful... and we want to give our amazing viewers something great to marvel at!

ALSO, the editor at DESIGN SCENE was nice enough to feature this shoot on their site too! Zarko, thank you so much for this feature with the generous and sweet introduction. It's great… makes me all emotional because I've came such a long way, from being bullied in school for being weird and different to now doing what I love to do! So surreal to have my work shared with the world! I don't have any fancy equipments but I try to make it work with my ideas, skills, and a basic DSLR camera. Limitation spawns innovation, right?! Thanks for adding a category for me too!!! :D

I think you've done a great job capturing the essence and mood of Wong Kar wai and Haute Pursuit's grittiness and sensuality :)
