THE NEW YORK PURSUIT OF FASHION'S NIGHT OUT

I didn't stay the whole week of Fashion Week, because honestly I don't care much for Fashion as I do for Style, but it was nice to be in NYC over the weekend as it started. Fashion's Night Out (FNO) was disappointing and predictable. I wasn't inspired at all. In general, the crowd were so blah. I think a lot of people just wanna be out and about because of those 3 words, FNO... instead of really being out strutting and embracing your own style that has nothing to do with what season it is.

I finally got to meet Vanessa (The Haute Pursuit) who is so amazing! Smart and beautiful! A fashion blogger than doesn't talk much about fashion... rather, she focuses on real things like moving forward with the digital age and embracing the power of social media. She is a scientist, so she has an academic background, which surprises a lot of people how educated she is! I feel so blessed to be in her presence! (HEY, WANDA! xoxo!)

Thanks to Wax (POP BOP and SNAP) for hooking me up with seats to the Fashion shows. Unfortunately, I chose to skipped some of it, after I went to Tim Hamilton's showcase and Alejandro Ingelmo which had beautiful clothes and shoes, but I felt a disconnect... like there isn't any genuine warmth in the room. I would be more excited if it was an Art opening.

However, this was such a spiritually fulfilling trip, not a lot of photos but a lot of wonderful human connections and interactions. Never underestimate the power of social media. I'm now inspired to recollect and refocus myself to move forward. Create. Share. Connect.

*** there are a lot of photos, please let it all load...

HURTS - Wonderful Life

TIM HAMILTON (REDUX)

ALEJANDRO INGELMO

Shoes designer. He was also there speaking to guests at the showcase. Senior style editor of ELLE, Kate Lanphear stop by for a quick second to say hi. Alejandro is so sexy with his salt & pepper hair!!!!

a designer's happiness. ALE-ALEJANDRO! rejoice!

MYSELF & CO...

brunching with Vanessa and Wax, please excuse us looking like zombies! NO SLEEP YET!

Wax and myself... after the Tim Hamilton showcase

we bumped into Izzy and his friends! Group picture!

I went home to change, freshen up, and met Ebony and Vanessa for dinner! LOVE these girls!

BONUS SNEAK PEEK!!!!

Of course, you know I had to seized the moment and had a photoshoot with Vanessa... we had to carry 2 big bags across downtown to uptown by ourselves. I hate shooting without help... can't wait to be successful! But yes, Ebony made it to see us with the last outfit in Chinatown.

I'm trying to find focus on Vanessa (WANDA!!!!)

helping her cross the streets in those wedged high heels! FAB!

Remember to come back later for the final photoshoot! EXCITING!

Also, I might have a sunglasses contest soon, FREE SUNGLASSES giveaway! :)

Until next time!

  12. Hello again! I'm leaving this Saturday and my first stop is Seattle! I'm so excited to just take a break from everything, travel, and explore. It will be a nice getaway :) Thanks so much for the book suggestion! I read some reviews and I'm going to try and find it at Borders before I go. I'll def let you know what I think once I'm done!

I went to school in LA and JUST moved back to SF a few weeks ago. I lovee LA, but I just needed to get grounded and figure out my life before situating myself somewhere semi-permanent, haha.

    Bye for now!
