I've been dreaming about this one-way ticket back to New York for the longest... it's now coming true tonight! The thing is, when I first moved to the U.S. 13 years ago, me and my family lived in NYC for a short bit, almost a year. I was too culture shocked and too young to know where I was. So therefore, I never really told anyone that when we moved down to the South because of finance and schooling. It's been 12 years of mental struggle, battling with my loneliness, but I've met some great friends. Now, I'm done with school, it's time to move back.

You know what I love about NYC? It puts things in perspective. A multi-cultural utopia. Though I'm moving back, it is not my permanent destination. I'm always constantly traveling on this endless journey. Like the subway stations, NYC is just one of the many stops in my life... but I've been training for this marathon my whole life, all that's left to do tonight is run.

NEW HAIRCUT...

Well, it's still the same cut, but different that I shaved the sides back to natural black, sort of inspired by Andy Warhol's haircut... but more so, I like the duo-tone because duality and balance is big in my life! :D

D.I.Y. LEOPARD SHIRT

Yes, in the midst of packing, drinking wine, and crying, I managed to squeeze one last big D.I.Y. project inspired by Givenchy Men's 2011 collection. I've been in this leopard lust lately, and I don't have $800 dollars to buy a Givenchy button-down shirt, so what's a boy to do? MAKE MY OWN! I'm not a professional, but my mom is a seamstress, so I learned a few things from her growing up...

cutting out my OLD shirt to use a model for a new one! haha... ghetto fab, I know!

SEWING TIME! working late night... again.


surged the edges so they won't fray, and don't worry, I sew them inwards too

TAH-DAH!!! finished product... now let's take it out for a shoot! :D

BEHIND THE SCENE...

... of my What I Wore shots; since I'm leaving for good. I thought I'd show you the location where I usually take my "What I Wore" photos... or rather, my little sister who takes all the photos for me. I trained her well! :)

I'm gonna miss stopping by this place everytime I go out. There she is taking my instructions ahaha... I'm sorry to my little sister, sometimes I get really frustrated from jumping many times, but she is still stuck through and help me snap a great shot. I hate myself sometimes for being so impatient. I get so worked up about little details. I just wanna provide quality, you know? SIGH. I don't expect much from other people, but I do expect a lot from myself!
