This has been the longest and coldest winter in New York for me. I could go on and on talking about the negative aspects of it, but I won't do that. Instead, I choose to focus on the positive aspects of this brutal winter. For example, 2 months ago, I was walking to work and it was below zero degrees cold... so cold that it was painful. However, in my head the whole time I kept thinking: Right now I'm feeling so much pain from this cold, which means that something with so much sweetness and warm is going to make up for all this bad feelings. In a sense, it's a lot to do with your mentality. As Arthur Rubinstein have said: “I have found that if you love life, life will love you back.”

I feel so lucky everyday to wake up feeling like a blank canvas, which means I will be able to fill my life with more knowledge and experiences because I'm a blank canvas and ready to be showered with life's blessings. We all must evolve. We can't stay rotting in one spot. Move yourself forward by expanding your mind through literature, cooking, music, films, art, whatever that makes you happy etc. But the important thing to remember is to have the lust for life, and the willingness to learn. And it's even more important to learn about yourself and your evolutionary impulses.
