next day, on the way to Sephora to see Utada Hikaru!!!
I met new friends! Wendy from a Utada forum, and a japanese friend, Mai, she is vacationing in New York and going back to Japan tomorrow! I just met her while waiting in line, lol... and she came with us the whole night to party! I felt like I was in Lost In Translation cause she doesn't speak much english!
Peter came after work, we saved him a spot
they passed out yellow wristbands for those who waited so early in the cold with a guaranteed spot inside the store later
OMG! HERE SHE COMES!!! UTADA!!!!
too bad, there was no signing, or face-time... just interview, listen to her CD, and we all stood there to watch
BUT when we leave, they passed out pre-signed pictures of the lucky few who had yellow wristbands
Mai and Peter came late, so they didn't get wristbands... HOWEVER, I had an idea to cut off the extra piece of my wristband and slip it into their gloves, so the bouncers just saw a piece of yellow and let us all INSIDE... haha! asian trick!
May met up with us after work... we went to get our drink and Karaoke on!
Oh! and since there was no signing, so I couldn't give Utada my artwork personally, so after she left, they said if we have any presents for her, we can give it to them, and they will give it to her! I hope she gets it!!! ahhhhh! I wrote a note with a link to this blog too! LOL. come onnn Hikki-san!!!
