SUMMER CAME LIKE CINNAMON, SO SWEET.

This is part 1 of 4 from my mini-summer break in New York this past weekend. This day, I spent half the day alone, wandering, watching people, and listening to the city breathe. Later on that day, I met up with my friends, Ebony, Yvan, and May to grab dinner.

Whenever I visit the city, I watch all kinds of people in the subway, looking at the lines on their faces and imagining what they have seen, bad and good things, and I just think... everyday, as human beings, we have that chance of being killed just going out and about, but still, we step outside, continue going to work, and interact with people to make money and live, even though we know we could die any second, who knows what could happen... but as humans, we are strong enough to hold back that fear and continue our days.

It really makes me think about what does it mean to live. No matter how much we say we can't make it through something, we have a great way of dealing with adversity. We'll eventually get through it somehow. It's the innate urge to move forward that keeps us alive.

** there's a lot of pictures, so let it all load! :)

  6. Oh.. Quan, I've been meaning to ask. How did you get the first walking picture while you're thrift shopping if you were by yourself?

Did you set up a tripod?

    I must know your secret.
