HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO MY DEAREST MAMA, the greatest woman in my life!!! And I don't usually celebrate holidays, I think it's quite sketchy and kitschy. I think we should celebrate all year round, life is a celebration! My real dad left us when I was 5, so growing up she was both parental figures to me. The strongest, most generous and patient woman I know. If I could only be half as patient and generous as her, I'll be golden. Thanks to her for the strength and lessons she instilled in me.

And you know what's funny? she has been telling me the same thing since I started 1st grade: “Don't follow the bad influences, finish school, get an education so you can have a stable life later when I'm not here anymore. I'll die happy!” — Oh mama, I'm on the right track of fulfilling your wish, and on that note, I'm graduating next weekend! Can you believe I've spent 17 years out of 23 years of my life in school?! CRAZINESS!!! JUST FOR YOU MOM! Anyhow, here's some vintage photos of my beautiful mama and myself...
