PEEL OFF THE LAYERS

PEEL OFF THE LAYERS

...until we get to the core.

6.11.15

You didn't think I was done with my coverage of Iceland, did you? If you miss the first part, check it here! Oh man. The travel withdrawals is too real. Can you believe it's already 2 weeks since I came back from Iceland and I still have not unpack my luggage?! In my defense, I've been literally working and blogging nonstop as soon as I came back home. Small favors, fun projects, and big dreams — they all take a lot of work and time. That's why it's so valuable because it takes time. I don't like to vomit-blog, meaning I like to curate and give you some escapism with every post.

For this post specifically, I want it to be honest and uncontrived, just like Mother Nature herself. A meditation on what it is to feel at home in the unknown while seeing new horizons... ugh I'm getting emotional just thinking about the 4am sunrise at Jokusarlon glacier lagoon. I'll come back for you Iceland!

As for my selfie which you can use the hashtag #GNBIselfies on instagram to view the full collective pieces I've done so far. This piece is a visual love letter to Iceland inspired by Bjork.

Self portrait / My work:

“Lust for comfort suffocates the soul.
Peel off the layers until we get to the core.
I feel at home whenever the unknown surrounds me!”
